I provide Clinical Supervision in Bradford near Leeds and online via Zoom, having gained a Diploma in Supervision which is essential to you as a supervisee. Providing Clinical Supervision is different to working with clients as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, so extra knowledge is needed. I adhere to BACP‘s Ethical Framework for Good Practice and receive regular monthly Supervision. I provide Supervision to trainees on the Leeds Beckett Counselling course as well as other organisations, colleges and universities.
The relationship with my supervisees is non-judgmental, supportive, warm and collaborative, being as safe and equal as possible to avoid feeling criticised or told off. It’s a relationship to encourage and enable reflection, growth and exploration of you and your work.
When we give so much of our emotional self in helping others, it is vital we look after ourselves, so we can help our clients effectively. Receiving supervision, even though is part of a professional requirement, is important it’s a collaborative and respectful relationship, which takes into consideration not only your clients internal world but yours too.
I work relationally and integratively, recognising the importance our early relationships and experiences play in the shaping of our lives including patterns in our thoughts and feelings. I integrate the latest research in neuroscience as well as Attachment Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Theory as well as some and DBT (Dialectic behaviour therapy) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
If you have any questions about the support I offer, I’d be happy to answer them for you.
